Welcome to Four Small Paws Dog Daycare Centre, where your Small Breed Dog will make new friends, learn and play – every day!

Based in Central Upper Hutt, Four Small Paws provides a fun and safe environment to give your Small Breed Dog play time and socialisation with other dogs that match their size.

At Four Small Paws we offer a large, bright play area with comfortable seats and beds to provide a home-like atmosphere. We believe that not only do dogs need play and companionship every day, they also need structure. Every day we have play times, rest times and training times. Your Small Breed Dog will enjoy this stimulating and caring environment.

At Four Small Paws your Small Breed Dog will quickly feel ‘at home’. He will make new friends and enjoy his time here. After your time at work you will be greeted by a happy, tired, well-loved dog who is ready to go home with you.

Meet the Owners…

As owners of small dogs and regular users of daycare over the past 10 years, we felt there was a space for a small dog only daycare where the dogs can feel safe and less anxious.

If you are like us, your pets are part of your family and when you cannot be home for them because of work and other obligations, you want them to be taken care of with the same love and attention you give them. We are strong advocates of daycare for dogs, we all lead very busy lives and are often away from home from 6 to 10 hours a day, then once we get home we are tired but we are greeted by a dog that has been alone all day and is so desperate for attention and exercise.

We used to be greeted each night by an overturned rubbish bin or something equally as naughty. Then I heard about doggy daycare, oh what bliss, Caspa got to play, sleep, socialise, and was warm, safe, and loved. I went to work without guilt and came home to a lovely tired happy dog. Maia was shy at first, but has settled in with the other dogs and has made friends. This business is flexible and handles changes with ease. I loved the farm day for dogs! I enjoy seeing the photos and videos of the dogs on Facebook while I’m at work.

Buddy loved his first session and came back home happy and tired. We even got a report and notes about how he went at doggy daycare! Thanks for taking such good care of him.

Amazing boarding and daycare. Our three griffons have an amazing time and were looked after as their own babies.

I’m really happy that I found Four Small Paws for Milli to have the chance to make new friends and learn more games. Also how to behave in a pack. She’s learned a lot. She is a lot more chilled at home too. It’s good for both of us!
Milli is always happy to go to Kindy, lol and comes home happy and tired.
The staff obviously enjoy their job and take good care of the dogs. I can leave her there knowing she will be safe. That’s important to me.

Oli was very excited for his first day of daycare and he has come home beautifully brushed and exhausted – despite having spent a very relaxing day by the sound of things! From a personal point of view I love the secure set-up, the easy parking and the proximity to the railway station as well as the efficient processes around check-in/out and payments. But most of all I love the obvious attention and care he received. Looking forward to his next visit!
